About Us
About Us
Eye Specialists is a small, personal, ophthalmology practice dedicated to the preservation of sight. We are physician-owned and physician-driven which is becoming less common in these days of corporate medicine. As board certified ophthalmologists, Drs. Chou and Paul have completed medical school and five years of training including a medical internship, ophthalmology residency, and additional fellowship training in cornea and glaucoma respectively. We strive to care for all patients as if they were members of our family.

About Your Visit
You should expect to be here for at least 1 hour for your appointment and probably longer if your pupils will be dilated. Dilating your pupils allows us to see into the back of your eye and check for such conditions as cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, or retinal detachment. This is usually performed on a yearly basis unless conditions require a more frequent schedule.
You should bring a driver with you if you do not feel you can drive home after your exam. Sunglasses are also helpful to bring. Please bring any eyeglasses and eye drops you are using along with a list of your current medications. You will also need a photo ID and your medical insurance cards. Payment of any copays is due at your visit. As medical doctors, we will bill your visit under your medical insurance plan. We are not providers for any vision plans such as VSP.
